Options for Seat Pad Replacements?
Hey all, what are our options for easy full-seat or seat pad swaps? The front leather in my 03 is just starting to look aged. Driver's bottom seat pad is developing a tear. I dont want to just replace it with a used seat pad because that just seems like its putting off the overall age problem. E63 seats? E350? While I am a skilled DIYer, I am doing the work myself, so easier is better.
I've had my E55 for 2 years now and I'm convinced that I will literally drive it forever. Omg, I love it. So so so much. I brought it back from death's doorstep when I bought it, but now it's well sorted out. I really wantwan keep the interior looking fresh though.

I would go to an upholsterer and get their assessment, or maybe buy a used E55 seat and have them swap it out.

Well you could always buy a new one, but it's probably expensive. A used one on eBay or car-parts.com is probably the cheapest way to go. You could try a seat upholstery shop too, but I bet they're not that much cheaper than OEM.
