Standard ride height on 20" wheels
Can I please ask a favour. I appreciate if this has been covered a million times in the past ............I want to put the car back to standard height
Anyone with 20" wheels on original standard ride height, please measure from the floor to the fender or centre of wheel. I dont mind either.

Easy to find yourself with a little work. I will help you help yourself.
- Google factory E55 tire sizes of you don't know it. Write it down.
- Google a tire size converter. Find a converter that will show you measurement differences for old and new tire sizes. (Hint:Try discount tires converter)
- Plug in factory tire size in the "old" spot and the tires you have or are contemplating or what ever in the "new" spot to see the overall differences.
- Play around with different tire/wheel size combinations observing the differences in overall size to your hearts content.

thanks for the reply but not sure how that will help to determine the standard ride height. I changed all the settings in DAS STAR, I previously had links fitted then I went to a lowing module all of this has been removed, now I want to put everything back the way it was using my DAS STAR machine

Rear - floor to fender through the centre of the wheels was 670mm (26.3 inches) and floor to the centre of the wheel was 330mm (13 inches). Tyre size = 275/30 R20
Front - floor to fender through the centre of the wheels was 666mm (26.2 inches) and floor to the centre of the wheel was 325mm (12.8 inches) Tyre size = 245/30 R20
car has been parked up for a few days without being driven and was in sport 2 mode when driven last.

car is almost exactly as the measurements you posted when its in the normal comfort setting. So I just need to measure the difference when I am in sport 2 and add the difference on to my current height to get closer to the original stock height.
I really dont believe that lowering the suspension travel is a good idea on these cars. the stock factory was set like this for a reason and alot of people complain about the light sensation they feel at high speeds. Possibly due to lowering the car and messing with the geometry

raised the car approx 12-14mm. definitely handles better, more planted to the road. Speed sensitive steering much better and no light floating felling from the back end.
I had the car dropped about 40mm in the past. A full re-alignment, with kmac bushes front / rear camber and toe arms, complete waste of time. The only thing needed are crash factory mercedes camber bolts at the front and possibly adjustable toe arms in the rear.
shortening the suspension strut shock absorber travel definitely did not work for me. Maybe the only true way is replacing for adjustable shocks and springs.
