I've been running 19" on my E63 for years, and I think 19" is the optimal size, for ride comfort and sportiness. I still have decent side wall height to absorb impacts from the road.
I have run a 19 x 8.5 (F) 35 offset on 245/35-19 and 19 x 9.5 (R) 42 offset 275/30-19. But my latest wheels, Vertini designed a custom offset because of the concave nature of their wheels, so I don't really know the offset of the wheels pictured below.
thanks for that info. i recently suffered a blow out of a rear tyre and 20 inch are not cheap for a decent tyre. i don't expect 19 inch to be either, but, i live in a country area with rougher roads so the bigger sidewalls will help for sure.
