E55 Crank Pulley
I have to share my story from this weekend it is just too crazy not to share. I ran into the common crank pulley issue. I noticed under hard acceleration there was a belt squeal and the car just didn't seem to have as much power. When i went to a local car meet we were looking under the hood of my car and found that my supercharger section of my crank pulley had come off and was sitting on the shield underneath. I am very surprised this is all that happened. It never even threw the belt but did shift it a little. So needless to say this weekend is going to be very fun with having to replace the pulley.

If you can't find a tool to hold the crank pulley I made one that worked well for my situation. Let me know if you need to borrow it. Do not used any method that locks the flywheel. The bolt requires a massive amount of tq...

Triple check that the little bit of keyway that sticks out enguages the new pulley or that will really be a nightmare

What cnterline said. And remember that keyway is just to align the dampner….not to keep it from spinning. It's the bolt torque that keeps the pulley on and the extra pin install to help keep the pulley aligned and in place !! Break out those 5 foot pipes for torque !!

I ordered mine off whatever MB parts website had it for the lowest price. When I had this issue FCP didn't stock the crank pulley like they do now as i would have just ordered it from them for lifetime warranty purposes. I linked it bellow for anyone that may need it now or in the future.
