Thanks!
Thanks. I’ve recently noticed that mine has been leaking and I haven’t been able to check it out yet. 137k on the clock I should be expecting something.
I think I’ve read about some upgrades to the hard lines? Any leads? I’m new to this car, but not new to Mercedes.
What about the transmission? Thanks again!

Valve covers seem to be the most common place for leaks. I've heard of rear main seals leaking but it's rare. There was a thread a while back from someone saying right after he did his valve covers his rear main seal started leaking. He seemed to think the increased pressure from sealing his valve covers caused his rear main seal to leak. I doubt that is the case though.

I've had valve covers, cam adjuster housing covers and oil cooler lines o-rings leak on my 07 E63. After these issues were addressed, no further leaks period.

My car is 11 yrs old, and with any car of this age, you'll bound to have issues with leaky gaskets, bad o-rings, etc. I've personally been pretty lucky, my car has been well maintained.
But in saying that something will fail, it's inevitable. I'll take a oil leak any day, over failed headbolts, collapse suspension, rear main seal, or transmission issues.

Oil leaking from block/trans area
Here is where mine is dripping. PCV issue? VC issue? The top of the engine seemed dry. I'm hoping not rear main seal??
