E320 drop to E55 height?
I’ve read that sone people purchase the oem e55 coils/pads to drop their e320, but given that the e55 also weighs more I feel it won’t have the exact same ride height. I’m looking to get my 2006 e320 cdi as close to that low, level ride the e55 has as I can but I can’t seem to find many people actually displaying their ride before/after. Anybody have any advice?

I read this, but it doesn't make sense to be. Because, the E320 has a steel coil spring style suspension, and the E55 has the airmatic suspension, which are totally two different suspensions.
They aren't compatible, the E55 suspension can't be retrofitted into the E320, without a lot of effort and headaches. Besides who want this anyway. Now, we've seen numerous times, where a conventional steel spring suspension has been retrofitted into a E55.
No surprise there, but it is a lot of work to fit it. Now if your talking about a W210 E55, then that's a whole different animal all together. Then yes, it can be done.

Won't work. The W211 E55 has Airmatic. There are no coil springs or pads. You could look into getting some coil overs such as the KW V2 setup for your car.
FWIW, I'm using W210 E55 H&R springs on my W210 E320 wagon and Bilstein shocks for an E430 Sport. Car rides and handles great.

To be totally honest with you, I don't know. I'm sure some things would have to be retrofitted, what those components are, I don't know exactly. And I do not know what the height differences would be.
I would just purchase some coil overs from H&R or Eibach or something similar.

I think finding a coil over setup would be your best option. The height will also be adjustable with a setup like that installed.

My E320 cdi has Vogtland springs and at the strut lowest spring perch ring the front wheels were under the fenders, I then carried the perch to the very top and the car sits very low. I have 1/2" clearance wheel to fender both front and back. So your ride height can be lowered with just lowering springs. My original pads remained. Hope this helps.
