I have a CWA50 and the car is currently apart with a second sitting on the garage floor that I'm putting in series. Unfortunately I left for work wont br back until Friday for pics. Very easy to mount a single CWA in the stock location using a T-Bolt clamp.

I have only used a BMW style 4 prong plug CWA50, the auti/VW pumps are three prong version so I cant help if you end up with that. To make your own four prong connection to plug into the pump buy these: (I get them from FCP euro)

1 x 12527549033 Plastic Socket Housing
4 x 61138366245 Rubber sealing grommets
4 x 12527545858 Individual Socket Pins

4 prong plug pumps will only use 3 wires, hot, ground, and a control signal. Ground is pin 1, control signal is pin 3, and hot is pin 4. Pin 2 is not used.
  • Pin 1 goes to the ground wire.
  • Pin 3 and pin 4 wires get jumpered together and connected to the hot wire. (This will allow it to run at full speed all the time without a separate PWM control signal.)

Good luck! I can snap a pick of my install when I get home Friday if you still need it.

Thanks for your reply Mr. Drothgeb

^This is the literal actual pump I bought, got here quick. I bought the option with a pigrail so I think I won't be needing the connectors. Did you go straight into the wiring cable for the 010 for all this? And of course my goal is to have it run on contact.

I think Alex in this video talks about how he wired his, but it's into the fusebox by the ECU, this part is still a mystery to me, how I would find a 12v supply just by staring at a fusebox if that's the route I would go with...

Oh yeah I used that some spot for my methonal pump. I believe there is only one 40 amp fuse in the fuse box so it's easy to find. I just picked one up from napa: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/GRO822213
basically you plug that rig into the 40 amp fuse slot and one of the fuse spots on top is for that output wire that you will run to the pump for positive, and the other fuse spot is for the factory 40 amp. Then all you need is to land a ground wire some where for the pumps negative.

I used the factory wiring for my current cwa50, I'll probably run it like described above for my second (in parallel with my nether pump coming off the same circuit.

Okay I'll give that location a try, ordered a multimeter to track it down. I'll be doing a DIY write up as I go through it

Haven't done it yet. I concluded I'll wire it into the stock plug, but I'm looking to see if there's a solution to install it without removing the stock plug on the car, I have a pigtail on the CWA and I'm looking for pins to put on it if that makes sense...
