I have never taken any car I've owned to Jiffy Lube, or anywhere else for that matter to get my oil changed. It was either the dealership, a indy MB shop or I did it myself.
We all have heard horror stories, or taking your car to someone that doesn't know your particular vehicle.

I haven't checked, but I would be skeptical about a filter from autozone. Napa used to sell original MANN filters in a napa box, but they switched to true garbage from china. Amazon has them for around $10.
By the way, you don't need a funnel, just dump it down the filter hole. It's nice and big, also conveniently located.

I am not putting anything other than LM in my car, but that's my personal preference, M1 is cheapest at walmart if you want to go that route.

There's a lot of things that can get screwed up. Over torquing and stripping the belly pan screws is common. I don't know what happens if you don't do the middle o-rings right... no oil pressure? Chinese oil filters that collapse because they are too restrictive, (don't ask) Over torquing a steel drain plug in an aluminium oil pan wouldn't be good either. I wouldn't even let the dealer do it for free here.

I get my oil change at mister car wash for around $150. I figure if they can service a brand new bentleys and range rovers, they can definetely work in my car. it's not rocket science.lol

Dude just get the tools and do this at home. For the price of an oil change at the dealer you can get all the tools necessary to get it done at your house.
Jack (harbor freight, buy a nice big one)
Stands (harbor freight)
2 drain pans from walmart (like $2 each)
A funnel ($1)
A box with some wrenches ($70 for a bigger one at walmart)
A big piece of cardboard or plastic or tarp to put under the car
For oil and filter just buy this kit: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...-0001803009-9l
Here's a god damn dip stick so you fill it correctly: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...hoCPFAQAvD_BwE
It's really not that hard.
Oil drain plug replacements are listed here: https://www.fcpeuro.com/Mercedes~Ben...08&m=20&e=2125
Get it together, learn to do this yourself. It's basic AMG ownership skills.

Naw, he's just a guy who knows how to save money.
A few modifications would be to get Mobil 1 0w40 while you're at Walmart, it's $22.88 for a 5 quart jug. Mobil has a $12 rebate on a 5 quart jug (and yes it's good at Walmart even though it's not on the list of participating retailers). Limit of 2 so you can just get 2 jugs of it for $21.76 after rebate. I prefer Mann filters which you can get on rockauto.com for around $8.41 minus of course the 5% discount code that's always out there. For wrenches, I prefer Craftmans at Sears, but as they're going out of business at some point, I guess Harbor Freight or Walmart is also fine. So the oil and filter makes it about a $30 oil change.

I just bought 21 qts of mobil-1 for $60 on Craigslist. All new and sealed. But that was a one time thing

Just to muddy the topic further, consider getting and using an oil suction unit such as the MityVac. Dead easy and clean. No crawling under, no removing belly pans. All done from the top of the engine including the filter change. You can carpet your garage in white ****.
Do it this way on my 1983 W123 and my 2008 E320. Trying to get every drop of old oil out is unnecessary and just OCD.

I certainly understand the need to not having to crawl under the car to drain your oil. But the MityVac, will not extract the 3/4 qt of oil trapped in the oil cooler.
Only draining the oil cooler will do this. I enjoy changing my own oil from the safety of a lift, as I can inspect other items while under there. Everyone is entitled to do what they wish.

As you didn't get it from a retailer, I doubt you'll get it. But getting more at Walmart after rebate works out cheaper than Craigslist. They've been running this promo for the last several years, once in the spring and again this fall.
