MBH Install Issue
Does anyone know if the W211 E63 and the C63 share the same length X Pipe with the MBH system? Has anyone ran into any fitment issue at all? The x pipe that came with my system is stickered C63, and I was told it was the same that my car uses, but I’m installing this right now and ran into this. Any suggestions?

Mike, I emailed you about this very same issue when I first received the package and you stated on your reply to me that they both used the same x pipe. Now you’re telling me a whole different thing when my car is sitting in the garage with only the headers and mid pipes on, and I have an x pipe that doesn’t fit. This is very annoying to say the least.

To swap from a 2" die set in a mandrel bender to a 3" die set takes a long time. We might have a 2" tie set of a 1.75" die set in the bender for a full week before we can make a swap. In fact it's usually how it is. So when we build stuff we do it in batches. Meaning its not good practice to to spend all day swapping die sets just to bend up one Xpipe. The bending program is also different from a mid-section to an Xpipe. You have to make best use of your time. Also the W211 E63 and E55 require a 2 bolt flange that has to be machined out and that as well takes time. Once those are done, you still have to form the flange ends and just like the other parts, its not good practice to make just one. Hopes this helps

Mike, I think I can make this C63 X pipe work with the system you sent me. On the other hand, to make the OEM X brace work, is another different ball game. I don’t like the possibility of rattling with the pipes. Instead of swapping the X Pipes as you suggested, can you send me the X brace you supposedly make to replace the OEM one? I know a lot of people run their systems without a brace at all, but I’d rather have some support in place.

Hey Mike, do you know if the headers from a w212 m156 fit on w211's? Found a set of MBH's locally but couldn't find any info on whether they worked or not.

The Xpipe and the mid-section are two different items. Your system consists of 3 parts. Mid-section with Xpipe and cats.
