VRP trunk VS hood tank

Curious if anyone has tried both. In theory the tank version would hold more coolant but does the exchange rate suffer allowing the hood to be equal... Thanks for the reply.

I have the trunk unit and it has ZERO heat soak issues. Just have to get runflat tires since you loose the spare

I can't imagine there is a huge difference between them. I personally wouldn't want to route lines through the car for a trunk installation.

AAA

Well worth the cost. It's not available in all states though. $100 a year and you get towing/roadside assistance plus their DMV services.

OP...Trunk is for sure more work...which means nothing, and under hood is far more easy to do. As for me and just an example... I run the under hood but only because my 1/2 mile runs only require 3 bags of ice and that is all I need. If I where to do 1.5 mile runs this year I will need a trunk tank for sure and more ice do to heat increases.
As far as every day driving, never saw much of a change when everything was stabilized temperature wise with just straight water, no ice.
Also the trunk tank, all though better over all will add much more weight....and we have more than enough of that in our cars.
If you are looking to pull temps down PM me and I can give more detail on what I did to control heat as I run a 166 lower and 74 upper with no issues .
Than again if your in a very hot state year round things will be more difficult.

Strigoi is right .. AAA for sure but unfortunately they will only tow so far if you travel.

Don't forget, you have Mercedes Road Side Assistance as long as your drive a Mercedes Benz.
