When it rains it pours....need help

Ok so as the title says, when it rains it pours when it comes to bad luck and issues with my car. So last week as I was driving to work, I heard something that sounded like a bag pop in the passengers side seat....no one was sitting there but something popped and the remaining 10min drive to work was accompanied by this loud "shhhhhhhh" noise....then leaving work hours later, my driver seat is now doing it and my dynamics aren't working.....this is part 1.

Next, I'm driving last weekend to take my girls to the park and I can feel some droning like vibrations in my gas pedal. I come to a light and the car is now vibrating to a point that is uncomfortable....so I say screw the park and drive straight to the mechanic. He looks at her, pushes the brake, puts the car in drive and hits the gas. The motor about jumps out of the car!! I mean it literally looked as though the engine was about to come out and attack! So he says I need motor mounts and God only knows how much that labor is going to cost me (I'm waiting on a call on OEM parts and then labor charge from him). That's part 2.

Then this happens today on my way to work, I'm driving easy to work (I have no other car so as to not mess something up worse I'm driving really easy) my radio starts cutting out for a second, then comes back on. It does this about every 2-3min or so. I start to think it's the radio station and end up plugging in my phone to the AUX. Music's going fine and then it cuts for a second and a LOUD *beep* comes through the speakers (sounds like right up front) and then it's back to fine....it does this every 2-3min. This *beep* is loud like a smoke detector loud. What in the world is happening here? I did notice that when I switch the command to show the MAP, the image is frozen and does not move at all AND I noticed that when the *beep* happens, the screen flicks to a blue background and says something but comes back to the frozen image again faster than I can read it. This is part 3 lol.

So what is going on? First my seats pop, then motor mounts and now this unknown beeping...can someone guide me to how to fix something lol? Anyone know how to fix these seats? Are the motor mounts extremely difficult to DIY? And can someone please help me stop this BEEPING!!!
thanks in advance for everyone's help..

motor mounts:

seats? can't be hard. likely easy to replace. could be as simple as an air line popped off.

radio? no idea.

Well that video was a big help on that part. It doesnt look to to bad but it does seem a little intemadating if i must admit. He stated that he was going to consider polyurethane mounts VS the OEM onea.....what do you all think about that? Also is the site he recommend one I should consider VS the dealer?

For the polyurethane mounts, they will be more long lasting but also put more vibrations into the cabin. Personally I wouldn’t do it, it’s a Mercedes after all! Plus longevity of engine mounts won’t be an issue if you order from FCP Euro.

Which brings me on to the website that he recommended. I don’t work for them or anything but I would recommend buying at least the engine mounts from them. I buy most parts I need (OEM wise) from them simply because of the lifetime warranty on everything. If you buy the engine mounts from them, you can use them and abuse them and whatever. Then when it’s time for new ones, just pay for shipping to return your old mounts and they’ll send you new ones for free. They’re legit and usually cheaper than the dealer. But definitely check the price from your dealer just to be sure.

Hopefully you get your beast all fixed up soon. Personally I think fixing things myself on the car is part of the fun, but maybe I’m in the minority.

Don't mean to pile any more on ya, but.....You may want to change the trans mount along with motor mounts.

When the time comes I will be getting the Maybach mounts. FCP have sorted out the correct part numbers according to Alex's latest videos (legitstreetcars).

Ok so I'll stay away from the polyurethane ones then and go with FCP ones. Are these the ones?

also I think I figured out the *beep* that was happening, I just removed the navigation CD from the trunk and so far no more beeping.

Noise, Vibration, Harshness. Three factors that all car manufacturers consider in almost every single aspect of their suspension/drivetrains/exhaust, etc when bulding their vehicles.

I was wondering the same on that part. They say black series....is that have anything to do with the black series AMG? That kit is only a few dollars more than what the dealer is charging for all the OEM mounts.

Yes it is the same part from the Black Series cars and the Maybach. The price is similar to OE Benz Parts, but much more than OEM parts. I am not sure how much difference they would make over new OEM Parts (Corteco).

Ok so the dealer is charging $150 each for the fronts and the tranny mount is $74 which is a bit more cheaper than the black series ones.....do any of you think it's worth the extra to go with the black series ones VS the OEM factory ones?

If you buy the black series ones from FCP, you won’t ever have to pay for engine mounts again. I would say it’s worth it, plus it’ll be cheaper already when you need a new set and they send you it for free. No brainer to me

Also regarding the seats, it’s a common issue and not excessively difficult to fix. You have a leak inside the seat. Mine was the lower lumbar bladder that I accessed once I removed the seatback. If you search you’ll find DIY articles on how to fix. Alternatively if you feel that it’s daunting or not within your skills, you probably can take it to a very good automotive upholstery shop. They should be knowledgeable about going into see and what’s fair they can easily find the a send they should be knowledgeable about going into see and once they are they can easily find the offending bladder

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you all an update, I managed to do the motor mounts with the help of my buddy. The passengers side one was leaking pretty bad, which by the way that fluid STINKS! and the drivers side was completely shot. I ended up just going with the OEM ones from the dealer but if anything ever happens down the road, I'll shoot for the black series ones. Anyway take a look at these pics I took of the driver's side lol

The engine mounts will fail again, it’s not an if. They’re a wear item. Depends on how hard you drive, but they’ll break down again unless you strap the engine down. Good job getting them replaced. I would fully recommend buying even the oem ones from fcp. They will most likely be cheaper and have the lifetime warranty. The dealer should really only be for specialty parts that nobody else carries. These cars are so old it doesn’t make sense to get parts like that from the dealer unless you need them same day imo. Still, at least it’s done and wasn’t too much money.
