Mercedes-Benz CL 55 AMG
MB 5.4 naturally aspirated to supercharged
I would know if anyone has done that upgrade: from the m113 5.4 amg naturally aspirated to the m113 5.4 kompressor. At beigining I thougth it could be easy, just remove the mainfold and place the kompressor, but it seems itsn't so ez. So I want know what are the differences between that 2 engines, and auxiliar systems for kompressor.
thanks
thanks

Apples and oranges, there is no way to fit the newer supercharger onto this engine. For one, the compression is lower in the supercharged motor so you'd likely blow it up very quickly. Head design, accessories, manifolds, intake, sensors for the computers (MAP vs MAF based air metering systems) etc etc. It's impossible without having a donor car with the complete motor, wiring harnesses, computers and modules etc.
So basically unless you want to spend $20-$30k dollars attempting a conversion, spend $15k for a 'newer' used AMG with the supercharger from the factory.
I did a forced induction swap into another car years and years ago and it was a nightmare, and this was on a Subaru with 1/10th of the technology and computer equipment our cars have.

Its perfectly possible but not the easiest, lots of wiring and ecu trickery involved. You are better to swap the entire supercharged engine, loom and ecu in. Better still buy a supercharged car and enjoy it immediately.
