03 E55 AMG First Dyno Run
This is my first time posting on the boards, I figured its a good time as ever to introduce my beloved Tektite Grey E55.
Coming from the Toyota/Lexus 1jz/2jz scene, this will be my first AMG Beast to play with.
As the title states, I was able to get my car on the dyno for the first time since owning it.
Even this was my first dyno run w/ the new project car, I wish I had thrown it on the dyno when it was bare bone stock.Unfortunately this will have to do.
Mods:
Evo Sport 4-1 Shorty Headers
Secondary Cat Delete
Resonator Delete
Car Put Down 415whp and 453tq, which puts me in the range of happiness cracking 400whp+

Love that color. 99.999999% of E55's seem to be silver or black, so ones that aren't are extra special imo.
Also, I almost started a 2JZ-GTE IS300 project not too long ago, but I live in a smog test county which makes owning one of those impractical. The M113K doesn't have the power potential of the 2JZ, but it's still a great engine with gobs of low end torque. Congrats.

granted, mine is a wagon and the dyno was done on a Mustang dyno, but stock numbers were: 401rwhp and 444 ft lbs.
but something is....wrong with the way my car was modded (or something is wrong with that dyno). because the mods it got after that pull are: 77mm pulley, "custom dyno tune", kleeman midlength headers, all cats removed, 1 step colder plugs, split cooling system using BMW power steering reservoir (not an effective solution), and after all that is only managed to put down 418rwhp and 472 ft lbs.

In regards to your redyno, did you go to the same guys? Do you know if they had recently recalibrated their dyno? Numbers look awfully low for the major mods you installed... Curious on your custom dyno tune, could you provide info that?

Thanks, I had a 92 SC300, w/ a 1JZGTE, Upgraded Twins, and built auto, it was fun while it lasted, and Ill have to agree on all ends, while the potentials of the M113K is limited, the comfort of the car plus insta-torque output is just phenomenal for the heavy chassis.
In regards to stock number comparison it does seem about right.

it does feel pretty quick. I don't street race much but I've crushed a 2014 boss 302 mustang, for what it's worth. got beat by a supercharged coyote mustang, though.

I'd think your IATs must be sky high with a 77mm pulley and those other mods. Do you have an upgraded heat exchanger? Even with a larger HE, I think it's highly recommended to have a trunk tank or water-meth with a 77. The other possibility is that your belt is slipping, and you're not getting the boost you should be getting with the 77. Both things would be easy to check. If you have slip, a belt wrap kit might help.

Couple things:

I'm not sure if the HE has been upgraded or not, it certainly fills up the entire lower area of the front bumper
