SL55 like exhaust note? Is it possible?

SL55 like exhaust note? Is it possible?
I just finished the break in process for the SL55 and it, like the E55 is a great car. You all will love to know that after 1 day of WOT driving in the SL55, the E55 does feel noticeably faster. It is not drastic but the E55 does pull harder.
Now that I have had the full dose of the SL55's exhaust note, I would like to have the same sound come from the E55 being that a uncorked V8 is the nicest sounding motor around (IMHO).
So has anyone ever tried to put the SL55 resonators on the E55? Does it require serious work to achieve this sound? Would cutting of the center resonators achieve this goal with out creating a loss in mid range torque (common problem when removing the resonator in the C32's)? Any ideas on this topic short of a header back system by Carlsson?
Thank you for the help. The E55 sounds nice but I like the bark of the SL55 and hope that a simple swapping of parts can give the little sedan a bark capable of equaling its serious bite!

Im not sure how the SL resonators would sound but the way I have it is I have borla race muffler's and I took out the resonators. For those of you who have heard my car you knoe there is a definitely presence in the sound. I would dare say it sounds somewhat near the SL but the only problem is that because I took out the resonators I do have a little resonance in the car. ( Obviously 
) I'm sure that could be corrected with a set of aftermarket resonators also but I like the way my car sounds at the moment...
