Quick question(s) on a drooping front right air strut
My 2006 E55 just started drooping on the front passenger side. I haven't even had a chance to start digging into it yet. I do not have a visit workshop light on the dash yet.
First, to the one guy who screams "DO A SEARCH" most times people ask a question - chill out. I have and I will continue to.
That being said, most of you know that searching the forums, this one and most others, yields tons of crap to wade through while trying to get good info. I've learned how to remove the strut, it actually looks very easy. My questions are more buying and diagnosis related.
- Where is the most reasonably priced place to buy a good quality replacement? I don't want to spend more than I need to but I don't want some low quality piece of junk either.
- Regarding diagnosis, I know about checking for leaks where the air line joins the top of the shock, but from there what are the common things to look for particularly at this front right location, or in general? How do you know if the actual shock body itself is leaking?
- I have read about the junction "leveling" block where all the lines meet. Where is this located on the car?
Any and all advice, common trouble spots to check, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Probably your best bet would be to buy your strut from https://www.arnottindustries.com/pro...ension/e-class
And as far as your others questions, I currently can't answer those.

if I’m not mistaken, the leveling you’re talking about should be driver side front bumper vicinity.

two years ago my passenger side dropped, replaced strut with AMG $800. This past summer, I replaced all control arms, stabilizer bars, mounts, rear air bags but still hear a creeping noise at driver side when going over bumps. Then last month I pushed front fender and it was bouncing. Changed strut with arnott and fixed the creeping noise and an over all smooth ride.
