AFTERMARKET HEAT EXCHANGER - WORTH IT?
So my car currently is running a stock HE. Car has 180 lower pulley, headers, catless x pipe, ECU & TCU tunes and a trunk tank with a single superflow pump. The IAT is usually 17-25* above ambient. Recovery time is pretty decent.
I've read mixed reviews on before and after IAT with the addition to a aftermarket HE. Is it really worth the money or should i save the $300 and spend it elsewhere.

We can get you the PLM XL heat exchanger direct bolt on.
Group buy is over but you can see pics and read reviews in this thread

I have the original PLM and install was great. I would be looking at the PLM XL if I was to do it again. Many of them require drilling into the bumper bar.

I just installed a secondary pump today and it helped drop IAT by a good amount. Currently running about 14-16* over ambient after a few pulls with a very quick recovery time.
think I’m going to put the $300 towards a custom tune instead

Definitely! When I had my E55, Kleemann headers, Shardul's machined pulley set, Bosch 010 pump, and PLM HE were the very first mods I did!
