Lots of play 9-3 on driver side front wheel. Ball joint, control arm, or both?
Been noticing a squeak over bumps in the last few weeks coming from my front driver’s-side. Checked today and had a substantial amount of play (over an inch?) when grasping the tire at 9 and 3. Looking at the suspension components while moving it, hard to tell what the culprite is.

Your description points towards ball joints. FCPEuro has a kit for that (no connection to the company except having bought a ball joint kit for my car)
