Who said the E was suppsoed to be the "faster car" ? No one, you're defending a non-existent attack. But the truth of the matter is that the E is a better looking car than the E60, hands down. Interior, there is no question. Looks like it was furnished by IKEA. The M5 is like dating a supermodel with a chastity belt on. Yea, it sounds neat, but its not really practical. The E55 is the catholic school girl next door. Gorgeous, comforting, but a vixen in disguise when no one is looking..

9 times out of 10 when you are on the street, you are driving from point A to B and just want a comfortable ride, and be able to blow the doors of of anything (incl M5) that pulls up next to you. No sh*t the M5 is faster on a track. No one ever said otherwise. But for the guy thats not on fantasy island thinking hollywood blvd is the Indy500, E is a much better car.

ok guys...this is from a Lexus driver, i have a GS430 and modded and are ready for a supercharger. one of my friends works in MB dealer here in LA so we got a chance to drive the new E55, OMG it is truly a beast! doesnt handle all that great , but who cares! its a supercharged E55! all the handling of the M3 or M5 is not that useful anyways seriously, my friend just got a E46 M3 and we drove it around a lot lately. i never been in an M5 but i am guessing the acceleration should be very similar. even he agrees that all the handling power of the M3 IS good But is not necessary for daily driving. come on u r not gonna go to the moutain roads everyday right? haha
the W211 E55 is Truly the king of the sedan as far as i experienced though no doubt.

 

Sounds like my friends dad. He was thinking of an E55 and I tried to convince him but my friend says "NONONO!!" "It doesn't handle as well as bimmers!" His dad replied, "I doesn't need to handle on the public roads!"
