Is there any difference in exhaust setup for the E55 wagon and sedan?

Hey all,

Basically, the original owner of my E55 offered me a really sweet deal on my car and I can look for a new one with less miles.

I've got my eyes on a E55 wagon in alabaster white but I was wondering whether the Eisenmann mufflers I ordered would still fit it.

kind regards,

Fingon

2005 E55 AMG Wagon
I contacted Eisenmann for an exhaust for my wagon and this is what they replied.

"Due to less customer request, Eisenmann discontinued rear mufflers for the MB W211 E55AMG Wagon models years ago. We had to move forward and make space for new products. We do not have the jig in stock to re-produce just a single W211 E55AMG Wagon rear muffler. We can’t use the jig from the W211 E55AMG Sedan as the tip position, brackets and fasteners are different…."

I'm sure the muffler may fit but sure there would be a bit of additional welding to be done. I'm not sure if anyone has done such a setup. I'm too on the fence on whether to buy the sedan version of the exhaust. Do update us on how it goes if you decide to install your Eisenmann on your wagon. I just love the way the Eisenmann sounds, I don't want anything else.

Fair enough. I'm probably taking a look at the wagon next monday. If I buy it I'll keep you up-to-date on if there are any difficulties with the install.
