Moving trunk wall air tank somewhere else...? (Estate)
Hello,
I'm going to install a stereo system in my S211. Nowadays I like to fit the subwoofer enclosures into sidewall of the trunk (so it doesn't take up trunk space).
I made some investigation and:
The left wall of my trunk hides some racks with some electronics. I think I can get rid of most of it while getting rid of the whole stock stereo/navigation system which would give space for my amplifier.
The right wall hides stock subwoofer enclosure and has even more nice free space for my new subwoofer (surely bigger than the stock one) after stock one is removed but... that nice space is occupied by an aluminum air tank for the susupension.
I think that when I'll remove enough of this electronics on the left. It should fit my amplifier and the airmatic tank together. Haviing an ideal right sidewall for my sub.
So...
Can I move the air tank from the right side of the trunk to the left?
Where is the other end of the "air hose" going from that tank?
Are there connections which I can disconnect and safely connect again?
Do I need any extra new parts to connect it beside of a new longer air hose?

MBWorld Fanatic!
Arnott replacement struts don't have the air reservoirs, that could an option. Otherwise I would be very hesitant before touching the rear SAM and other systems for that purpose.

Whoa, thats cool as it probably means I can move it whererver I want. Thanks a lot for the info.
Does anybody know where exactly that air line from the tank goes and if it an be disconnected multiple times or some parts of their connectors are not reusable?
