2008 e63 rear drag radials

hello, I have looked around the forum but the information is not really definitive so I wanted to ask to be sure before I pulled the trigger on this set up. 18x9.5 with a 35et and 285/40 r18s, will this fit under the back of my car without a rub? thank you

For Drag Radials setup? If so, I’d go with 16s if not 15s size wheels. More rubber equals more grip.

Here are my setup....
2003 E320 16x9 with 255/50/16 Mickey Thompson et street in the rear.

Two E55 spares in front with Mickey as well. Check out my video at the track.

I have a set of 265/35/18 Nitto R888R that fit stock wheels and do not rub. They dead hook at the track. They are for sale for 350 plus shipping. They have under 100 miles and 5 passes.

The 265 from Nitto is almost an inch wider then a 275 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

I had a set of BFG drag radials in a 275 35 18 on a stock wheel on an 2008 E63 and they rubbed in first and second gear at the track when the car squatted. I do not see a 285 working.

so its only been like 6 months, but i did buy them, they did fit. It took a little messaging the inner panels of the wheel well but they did go on, they did hook and i went from a best of 12.71 to a best of 12.59. I do need to get better at burn outs as I had never done one in this car until pulling up to the water box lol, hopefully i get out more this year. I used grease paint to make sure I

didn't have a tire rub on a short little drive around the block
