What hachiroku was simply saying, is that a common indicator that your E63 has the performance package would be an Alcantara Steering Wheel, AMG 3 Piece Wheels and a LSD.

Looks very similar to mine, except it doesn't have a flat top or bottom, and the Alcantara is only at the 3 - 9 o'clock positions only and not on the airbag.

E63 and GL450, ML350 bluetec
I have the P030 package, and my steering wheel is the same as Yuille described. The code P030 will be on the VIN readout when you google it. The limited slip dif and wheels are the other 2 things you can see. I have never seen a W211 E63 next to mine in order to see if the suspension is same, but the way my window sticker things reads, I have somewhat stiffer suspension than a non-P030.
