Hello All, I've spent a good few hours reading through the forum, some great info around!
Without any real knowledge or experience, I picked up my first Mercedes. Few previous cars are E92 M3, 997.2 and a 2011 Panamera 4S, this E55 is definitely up there for fun with the E92 M3.
Here are my specs:
2003 with 48k miles
Jap spec
20" Mercedes wheels. I think the previous owner said they're CLS wheels, but I don't think that's right. Anybody know?
She's running strong and smooth from what I can tell. Being in Dubai the weather is pretty brutal, I've already suffered from heatsoak and power loss when pushing the car hard. I'll get then IC pump and heat exchanger upgraded soon.
Already got her booked in for a paint correction, polish and ceramic coating this weekend. I'll post the shiny new pics in a few days. But here she is for now:

A few updates and lazy pictures, I wish I took a little more time. Also suspension was in the higher setting, looks way better when low. But you can still see a serious improvement in the paint anyway.
- Full clean, polish and wax (ceramic coating booked in for next weekend)
- Engine bay degrease
- Tint front and rear lights
- Black wrap on all the bumper chrome
- Bought a controversial China-made grille, got that wrapped too. I think I prefer it to the OEM grille
Next I’m thinking an all black hood badge and maybe plasti-dip smoke the rear and wing badges, or maybe spray them acid green to match the calipers? Thoughts and suggestions welcomed. I’m new to the Mercedes game
Waiting for the results as I'm facing the same issue. Could be the weather here in Dubai too that is causing heatsoak while driving hard.
I'm contemplating of upgrading to the Pierburg CWA100 with a bigger heat exchanger. If the Bosch works for you I may get thr Bosch and you would've saved me a few $$
however I am always against the aftermarket grilles that put the star in the center. On older cars that weren't designed that way, it never looks right. Either don't have a star or just have the hood ornament.
Few upgrades for the old girl this weekend. 010 IC pump for the heat exchanger. Really feeling the difference here. Literally feel like I’ve got an extra 50 bhp.
Also changed the air, AC and cabin filters. Gave the throttle body a little clean whilst I was there, too.

I think those are W222 S65 wheels, definitely not CLS wheels though
