Scope wanted
Star doesn't have any wave-form functions if that's what you're looking for when you're referring to a "scope"? If you're just looking for a scan tool definitely star. The only waveform plotting function I've ran across (have never dug into STAR looking for stuff like that) was a crank position sensor test but it required additional software that my set up didn't have.
I have an old fluke 43b that plots single phase wave form. Not a fancy O-Scope but it works for everything I could possibly need it for. Might be able to find something similar for cheap on E-Bay.
EDIT: Nvm they are still pretty pricey.

1. Get a new Fluke with the scope functionality. That would be one channel only and cost a small fortune.
2. Buy the purpose design automotive oscilloscope at somewhat affordable price.
Entry level Pico scopes are under $200. There is also Hantek for half that but they are hit and miss from what I heard so far.
I appreciate the input.
Don't know if Delphi or Wurth WOW do the things you want but I bought chinese clone of this multipexer with both software included and its working like a charm for a really funny amount of money. (eg. better than my friends genuine Delphi system which has older software and did cost equal do 2000$)

I got an entry level PicoScope. It’s only 2 channels but it will do for now.
See how useful it will become. Definitely good to get familiar with the PICO software which is the same for better units as well.
