Coil packs and wires question

So bosch is the oem for these, correct? I've seen other coil packs that range in price for $25 to $60ish, the higher end being the bosch, was just curious what the general consensus was on the non oem's are they acceptable, my car has 138k miles getting weird misfires etc along with codes indicating such. Will be replacing wires at the same time, going with bosch on those since the all in price is less then $240 from amazon.

Thanks in advance.

We always used Bosch but with highly modded engines, did not want to skimp on coils failing.

Thanks @exotic-metal, I do abuse the heck out this thing but would like to keep it for a few more years if possible so I may just try the cheap ones, if they fail then I'll go for the expensive ones!

I'd never change a good coil for a (even brand new) chinese aftermarket replacement. Actually I never changed any coil in any of my cars unless they went bad. Wires yes - surely a mainteneance thing but I don't see coils "wearing" over time.

There's a tool to measure spark lenght. It can tell you if your coil is good.

coobah great answer, think I'll try just changing the wires first.
