Has anyone else have this problem? I have had this car since June and I am understanding it is happening to other car owners as well. I have the HK system and in logic 7 setting and it sounds great but the voice coil in the rear sub deck seems to be fried, again. I was just informed by my mb dealer to replace it with a good audio guy, and that they would pay the bill.

Any suggestions without compromising the space in the trunk too much? Any NY audio people you guys recommend?

He can probably set you up with a nice sub, maybe an MB Quart which is a good brand.

Been lurking for a while as I'm still deciding on my E55...however, I do know a bit about audio...I currently have my E46 M3 up at AI Design in Tuckahoe, NY to fix a shoddy install by Best Tire of Great Neck, NY...While there I saw a CLK 55 being fitted with the Brabus package and a custom audio install. They said there was a nice sized sub in the trunk and when I looked, they had to point it out to me - it was mounted on the roof of the trunk with a speaker installed in the rear to maintain the trunk - there were two golf bags in there with no problem...I'd suggest checking them out: www.aides********. I'm currently dealing with Chris who has been extremely helpful and has been keeping me updated as they build me a new stealth enclosure and re-wire my trunk.
