Smile 2007 E63 AMG Winter Storage

Hi All,
I just got a 2007 E63 AMG with 54K Miles, 100% Stock with original head bolts.. It will not be my daily driver, at the most will drive it once a week if the weather is nice, rest it will sit in the garage. I needed advice from experience M156 owners.
Purchased it in Texas, and drove it to New Jersey all 1550 Miles!

My questions:

- Can i leave it in the garage for a week at a stretch with out starting it?
- How often you change the Oil?
- Should i get an engine flush, just to be on the safe side?

reading up on all the threads has got me worried a bit.

thank you

First damn nice car. Great find!
54k miles I wouldn’t worry about a thing for now. Drive it and enjoy it.
At the very least if it’s going to sit a week at a time buy a battery tender that will do AGM batteries to keep it maintained.

Well standard recommendation is every 10k by MB. I think some people who are in for overkill do it every 5k. I wouldn't bother with any flush. Usually flushes are really solvents not lubricants so you're actually accelerating engine wear by using a flush. Regular oil has detergents in it, just change it more frequently if you're that worried about it. I think you have a big sump that hold a lot more oil than most cars which is why I think even 5k is overdoing it.

You can keep an eye on the voltage by switching to the temperature display when the car is off and hitting the reset button 3 times to display the voltage. If you notice it drops a lot, you could use the tender/charger. But I bet you don't normally have to do it more than once every few months. I don't like leaving tenders on the battery too long because when they fail, they tend to just overcharge the battery which ends up baking it and then it's no good. Better to just put the charger on for a day and then take it off. It gets fully charged and then it's fine for weeks/months.

If your going to store your car for longer periods during the winter, then I would change the oil and have the coolant flushed. As well as applying a battery tender.
