Anyone have experience with garage floor carpet?
I am looking at getting some type of flooring for the garage. My wife is pretty keen on a dark gray color commercial garage carpet. It is supposed to be glued to the concrete, very hard wearing, designed to get wet, oil spills, tire movement etc. It will probably a lot nicer working under the car on the floor too. Downsides are it will probably need vacuuming.
My only concern is moving jacks and jack stands over it. Has anyone got a system like this?

I went with a combination of stick on vinyl tile and carpet squares 2 years ago and looks as good now as the day Installed. Does require some maintenance but no more than the bare concrete did.

Wow that is a great looking garage. Is it a particular type of vinyl sitting on top?
I used to have a 2006 revup in the exact same colour. That was one of the cars I wished I kept. I keep an eye out for manual 370z's but they are very rare compared to manual 350's and the colours are nowhere near as good.

Beautiful Z! Love the color!! Concerning the vinyl tiles, our local hardware mega-store used to carry what they called a heavy duty, self adhesive tile; various colors - all 15” square. I ran across them as they were closing them out; stating no one was paying the slightly higher price for the thicker heavy duty product as the normal tiles worked fine in normal installations. I thought the heavy duty was worth trying and, two years later, I’m still very pleased. Tile catches and hold water and snow slush fine until it either dries on its own or I have a chance to clean up. The carpet tile around the perimeter is. Let’s me and my wife venture out to our storage cabinets in socks only; just a creature comfort thing..

I guess I will give the carpet a go. I will let you guys know how it turns out. Plain, smart and functional hopefully. There are some beautiful garages on the forums though not much expense spared either!
I had my heart set on a car scissor lift in the new house. Reality is the garage is too tight to comfortably get in and out, the driveway angle is too sharp. I realized my issue was mainly that my jack topped out at only just high enough to wedge jack stands underneath and was near the upper limit of its capacity with the front of an E55. So I bought this bad boy which seems to be an ok compromise. Will go to 600mm and way more solid.
