Got an 03 e55 AMG
2003 e55 AMG. 72K miles. Absolutely mint inside and out. Not a single scratch on it. Mint interior. Previous owner is a mechanic at German car repair shop so he has meticulously maintained the car. All fluids done; tranny and rear diff. He replaced SBC module. New supercharger pulley and tensioner. New Harmonic balancer pulley. New valve cover gaskets.

Advanced search upper right of page. At 72k miles, it is coming up on you. Don't delay, stay proactive about maintenance.
Nice ride, enjoy it!
Couple of things I don’t like about the car. Its on adjustable lowering links and I’m not super crazy about the lower ride height. I need to figure out how to adjust it up a few millimeters. Also, the previous owner welded in secondary open dump tubes just fore of the mufflers. Car sounds like a 68 Nova SS. Too loud and droney for a premium German luxury saloon. Luckily the tubes have studded flanges on the ends so a couple of cap plates screwed on should fix that.
similar mileage/condition cars are $15k+ on all the car sites
maybe he just decided not to do ONE single google search for comps?
i hope his car fixing skills are better than his car-selling skills lol
and nearly all 03's just passed the fuel pump warranty. I was out by 1 month and after fighting with MB they still wouldnt cover it. Buy the $1k FCP Euro fuel pump kit if it wasnt already done imo

Some techs just like having cars to tinker with, drive them for a while then move onto the next car. We recently bought a 2003 Porsche 911 targa with 61k OG miles that a tech bought, replaced tons of things, drove it for a year and sold it for what he paid for it. He even gave us the receipts for the parts he replaced on it.
So the fender and hood are aluminum and God awful EXPENSIVE as OEM parts from MB. Insurance comes along. They can’t repair the car with anything but these OEM parts. The cost of the repair is more than the actuarial book value of the car, so they “total” it and the car is branded as a salvage. This kid buys the car from the insurance company for $3K. Spends another $2500 on another salvage w211 for the fender and hood. Puts those on the car along with a new frontcap and headlight, paints the car, and voila, car is back tip top. He does all the other replacement parts as mentioned.
He currently has a 1995 BMW 540 that he is restoring so he put the e55 up for sale. Thats where our paths crossed. We struck up a decent deal because of the rebuilt title brand.
Btw, I reviewed the Carfax and also al the insurance pictures along with all the receipts and documents of the repair.
Car is mint inside and out. Clearly it was pampered. Hopefully I wasn’t bamboozled but the documentation seems fairly legit and I don’t get any sense of anything shady. Also, I figure that for the relatively low amount of money if the car grenades on me, I’m not out a lot. I spend more than that monthly in alimony....
