Puff of smoke at startup???
If my car sits for a few days (5k miles in 11 months) there is a puff of blue smoke. I know blue is bad but dealer says my infrequent driving means the valve seals are still breaking in. I've worked on cars and seems fishy to me being the tight standards these engines are built to. what say you?

Peter,
That is a typical issue with bad valve stem seals. However, the valve stem seals are an issue on high mileage engines not low mileage ones but I guess it is possible though not probable. I'd watch it very closely though. If your head gasket was blown, depending on if it was blown around an oil passage or water passage, I'd suspect that you would have blue or white smoke regardless of engine speed.
