How much do you fill your diff?

Changed my diff fluid a while ago. The fluid in the diff was most likely the one that came with the car. When I removed the fillplug fluid start to drip out. About a drip a sec the size of a pea.

When I fill diff with the style "fill til fluid comes out" I fill until there is a visible small stream coming out.

Got me wondering what's right and wrong? How much do you guys fill?

Right is up to the lower end of the fill hole. Few drops left or right doesnt really matter.

From what I've read, one should fill so it's basically levelled with the bottom of the fillplug. If I fill so there is a stream of fluid coming out that should be overfilled. Should I open fillplug and let some out or leave it?

You fill the diff until there is a little stream of fluid coming out, that way you'll know when it's full.

Yeah, that's what I always do. Just the slight oem dripping that got me thinking about how others do it.

Thanks for the response.
