I'm taking my car to get the transmission flush/filter. The car has 90,000 miles. Debating whether to do the conductor plate while the jobs getting done?

I'd say to do it. Also might be worth changing the solenoids toothen you only have to ever drain and refill it in future (60,000 km!)unless valvebody goes! All depends on your coin i guess but I think invest now and save later..I just replaced the lot when I was in there fixing a line pressure issue. Although I guess where you live the oil might be cheaper its 90 a little here!!
Honestly mate it's a really easy job all the bolts involved are a t30 e torx, torque wrench (all bolts are same torque) and 7mm deep socket.. jackstands as well. You probably want a mate to help hold the valvebody but I did it by myself lol.. let me know if you want instructions

DIY trans flush, very simple. I flushed mine when car goes into limped mode and got speed sensors and slippage codes. It took care of the codes for a couple of months but then it came back again. So I ended up replacing the conductor plate; however, this is what happened when you don’t change ATF over 7 years. When I removed the old plate, speed sensors were filthy.

I'm just busy and it's easier for me to drop off the car right now.
I will order this...

I have done the conductor plate before. It was not difficult but it wasn't fun. The parts are very cheap in your part of the world so might as well do it. Those FCP kits are so easy.

I purchased a kit from FCP euro;

Review the following;
https://blog.fcpeuro.com/mercedes-7-...-transmissions
The bolts on the oil pan are single use torque to yield bolts, they should be changed evertime or you risk breaking the bolt if you reused them.

Joseph~

With 90k on her I would not flush it. Do several drain and fills to slowly wash out the transmission. There is a lot of grim and clutch dust that is everywhere in the trans and a nice slow clean out would be best. Then when fluid is clean replace the filter and she will be good to go.
A flush will just replace the fluid and then start cleaning everything off and load the filter. Drain and fills will take much more time and work but also you can do it yourself as there is a drain plug and fill tube on it.
Then every other engine oil change, drain and fill and keep fluid nice and red.

If you have any of the service records from the past, it may help. The conductor plate may have been changed already and they may have updated the wire plug that can allow trans fluid up the wire harness into your ECU`s. Otherwise a simple fluid and filter change is good to keep up with.

The kit from FCP using Pentosin. I'm not going to do the flush, just changing the fluid and filter. Since it's not a flush, there will be MB genuine fluid left inside, isn't it a bad idea to mix 2 different type of fluid?

It's fine. I seem to recall that MB fluid is pentosin, regardless they are all fungible and menscible.

if you have star you can pump as much fluid out as possible for a full flush. without star you can drain the pain, get like half the fluid out and refill. drive for a bit and drain again and refill to try replace as much as the original fluid as possible. maybe repeat until it drains clean.

You can do a flush without Star but I can't imagine it is easy. You will need to undo the cooling hoses and circulate dirty fluid out while taking new fluid in with the engine running. I only ever do dump and refills on older cars, every 20,000km with filter change every second time.
For a full flush I would be happy to pay the dealer.

What type of service did they do? It should have been a full flush but some of them do just drain and refill.
