phone echo
I can hear the other person clearly and they can hear me, but when they speak they get an echo of their voice. mb suggested feedback and I tried lowering the volume and it didn't do anything. Anyone else?

AND IT WORKS. A friend had it put in his E55 and it sounds 500% better! I will get it put in my E500 and E55 and give a full report.
Trouble is I don’t want to leave my car at the shop for a week. It needs a bunch of work and I am to lazy to part with it. C240's are so slow
Needs a new passenger seat cover (faded, hard and cracked in 4 months). Front suspension is less than tight, brakes have a constant squeak from the passenger front caliper, phone fix, b service, and some interior trip pieces that are less than quiet.

I had it done a day ago. Only made 1 call since. The echo on that phone call was gone. However, a few months ago, I had a crack on my phone so they gave me a new one. v60s. Its a speakerphone. But, the quality of the phone when in the hands free mode is awful according to the other caller. So I hope this new module will fix that too. I will be making some calls here shortly to give you and update. Also, these phone modules are of short supply, so have your service advisor save one for you.

2004 E55
Here is the module that is changed. You need an entirely new module since the software could not be updated by flashing it. The box is located at the back of the trunk. Echo is no longer there.

I want to thank you for your input and the photos of the revised phone module.
I presented these photos to my dealership, and reminded them of the myriad compalints i had been making about th phone on now, 2, W211 E 55s that i have owned.
The GM ordered the module and associate kit, and it was installed 24 hours later.
The quality has increased tremendously, and i really want to thank you for your input.
Funnily enough, the dealership were quoting that they had no knowledge of this upgrade until I gave them your photos.
