Brembo front pads for E55?

Do these front brake pads work on the E55? Brembo P50062N. eBay and Autozone both say they fit the E55, so I'm just wondering if anyone has ran these before? I see a lot of people go with Akebono, but just wondering is this set works, and how is the feel and performance?

This place is a joke.
I'm embarrassed to say, but I've been running Carquest/AdvanceAuto's "Wearever Gold" front pads for 5 years now. No noise, very little dust-the same amount as the rear factory pads. Braking power is good but took a few hundred miles to get them bedded in. They were cheap too. $53 plus 20% off online!

In the FWIW department, I have been using EBC Reds on the E55 for many years which come with a "break in" coating. Extremely noisy for the first 50-75 miles, but then silent. That said, I can't tell you how much better or worse they perform compared to other brands. However, I can tell you that I fitted EBC reds the to my ML400 CDI a 4 liter, 4 cam, twin turbo V8 Diesel about 250 hp and about a zillion pounds of torque (made in Alabama with the rest of the ML's but only sold in Europe) after barely surviving a panic stop situation from about 110 mph with standard MB pads which faded so badly that the ABS wouldn't activate. After installing the EBC reds I tried 3 max effort stops again from 110 mph and no fade whatsoever with the ABS activating properly. I always want to be able to get out of trouble faster than I got into it.

That's a very good point. I personally think that the brake are just as important as the engine. That being said, I'm considering the pads from brembo because they are a name brand that is well known so idk.

This place is a joke.
I changed mine because of the crazy amount of dust from the factory pads. Every 3 days the front wheels were dark and I couldn't keep up with cleaning them. Spraying cleaner and water on your wheels/brakes every 3 days can't be good for your rotors. I don't know if the Brembo pads being an oem part will do the same.

I plan on ceramic coating my wheels so it shouldn't be too big of a problem. I also have aluminum wheels, so they aren't as bad as black wheels. But I will see and update on how they are.

Don't be; I did the same. Got a GREAT deal on them and they work well.
I haven't run those Brembos but they should work fine. They may have more brake dust than the Akebonos but it sounds like that may not be as much of a concern for you.

Maybe I will try those after if I don't like the Brembos.

I run Power-Stop Carbon Ceramics pads, not so great initial bite when cold. They do however perform very well in the heat, when their nice and hot.
Very little to no brake dust at all. I can literally go weeks without cleaning my wheels.

I did an e55 caliper conversion on our 2009 e350 and used Akebono pads. I use those pads on pretty much all of our vehicles and very happy with the bite and stopping feel of them. They also don't dust anywhere near stock,,, very little dust. I can go SEVERAL times washing the car without ever touching the wheels, where with stock pads that was not possible at all. Just a light cloth takes the dust off (I wax the wheels so that helps).

I wish that they made Akebono pads for the E63

Check other models or makes of vehicles that use the same Brembo calipers. I know they use the 6 piston calipers on a lot of different models. I remember seeing on other forums they didn't specially make it for their model but they were able to get pads from another and the fit right into the caliper.

I hear you! and agree with you to a certain extent.....but the calipers aren't always the same. Take for E55 for example, it's a W211 chassis same as the E63, but the rear calipers are totally different as compared to the E63.
I know we are talking about the front calipers, but their are small variations in the calipers and the pads that Brembo manufacturers. I wouldn't want to buy something that doesn't fit.
I'll stick with my Power Stop Carbon Ceramic pads, that I have used for years. They have never failed me during panic braking situations, and their dustless
