M113k Camshaft Sensor DIY?

Has anyone changed out their camshaft position sensor on m113k? If so, how did you access the sensor to remove it? I'm changing out my crankshaft sensor so thought to do this as well but i can't find a way to get the camshaft sensor out.

thanks!

I just did this last weekend! Really easy, all you need to do is remove the double idler, then you'll have straight access to the bolt that holds the sensor down. You can look up an accessory belt DIY for specifics, but it takes a deep 17mm socket to loosen both tensioners (the supercharger is easy, the one down below is hard to see but is right under the tensioner pulley, just a little towards the passenger side). Once belts are removed then undo that double idler, disconnect the wire harness (you may need to loosen the bracket holding the coolant lines to supercharger depending on how big your hands are), then remove the bolt and wiggle the old sensor out.

The plastic on mine was really brittle so the clip on the wire harness instantly disintegrated, the plug stays well in there but I ended up safety wiring it anyway as a precaution.

Good luck!
