I'm about ready to do a routine brake system bleed, and my '03 E55 has the annoying SBC pedal buzz. The SBC unit was replaced 30k miles ago under warranty, however I see no updated hose or damper installed per the bulletin (wasn't a complaint at the time).

All I can find on the bulletin (P-B-42.46/27c) in threads is 10+ years old, or 'go to the dealer' but I honestly don't believe I'll just walk in, have this done, and walk away without spending any money. It looks like a 5 minute job and I'll happily just do it myself.

1) I've heard of an updated hose, and I've heard of damper which you cut and install inline on the existing hose. Which is it?
2) And to the above point, what part number and does anyone know where I can order it?

I've managed to find a picture of the original bulletin, showing part number A0004310477 for an inline damper however it doesn't seem to be available anywhere remotely near the US.

The suction hose part number is A211 420 88 26. Hose clamp part number is A005 997 19 90. Steps to replace the hose are below.
