Did my first (personally) oil change today on my E63. When taking off the underbelly pans I noticed one of the snorkel looking things (see pic) was
missing. Wondering wheres the best place to buy new ones? Thanks.
I purchased a replacement belly pan awhile back for mine, and it does not come with those snorkel pieces. I would guess that they can still be ordered from mercedes though.
You don't need to replace the belly pan. The snorkles are held in there by pressure then two screws.
In the top left of your image you can see the two screw holes.
If you flip the pan over you can see the snorkle that is currently on there is also held on by screws.
You simply unscrew them, tilt them with a little pressure then they fall out. Looks like someone forgot to put the screws back on and it fell out.
My emanual isn't working or I could get you the part number, call the dealer and ask them to open the microfische exploded diagram, and they can get you the part..... if I remember correctly they're both the same... also the part number should be inscribed on the one that you can still see.
