236.10 vs 236.14 fluid
i plan on doing a little transmission fluid refresher (remove and replace 2 quarts or so) on my 2005 E55 and was wondering if people generally have better results using the older 5 speed spec 236.10 (001 989 21 03) or the 7 speed spec but backwards compatible 236.14 (ATF 134)
thanks in advance

I just did the bulkhead connector and used Pentosin ATF 134 for MB 236.14 for my04 … seems to work/shift the same,,,, one problem was the trans fluid was changed before at 70j and I was bot sure what was used so I went with the later compatible spec... good news was the fluid looked good coming out

people have said that the Fuchs Titan 4134 is "the" fluid and it's way cheaper and comes in larger containers than the MB 1 liter size

The made in Germany Pentosin ATF 134 236.14 is really inexpensive when you buy it in 5 quart bottles. I'm pretty sure this is the real Mercedes OEM ATF 134 bottle.
