Magnaflow X-Pipe 2.5" or 3"
Hi guys! I've done numerous searches and just want to be sure which size X-Pipe I need to replace the rear cats on my '05 E55. I've seen someone saying to get the 2.5 for the '03 E55. I thought the exhaust was identical to my '05. Is the inlet smaller than the outlet? Like 2.5 front and 2.75 rear? Let me know which one I should buy. Well appreciated. Once I get the right size, I'll go straight pipe back of the x-pipe replacing the resonator too. Thanks.

I would be interested to ensure that when I replace resonator with an x-pipe that it is same suggested diameter. I know in previous lives if the xpipe can't match the exact diameter, do the step up.

Well I ordered the 3" Magnaflow instead if the 2.5". It will replace the rear cats and Ill go straight pipe back eliminating the resonator. Hopefully the 3" inlet and outlet isn't too big.

I just removed my secondary cats and replaced them with a 3" Y pipe and then straightpiped where the resonator was. Sounds great and 3" pipe wasn't an issue.
