Anyone have a clue to what this steering noise may be? Got it checked out and two shops said they couldn’t find anything. This started to happen after I installed the long tube headers. Maybe it’s linked to disconnecting the steering column shaft during install?

Did you check any other steering components like ball joints? Possibly those making noise or bushings.

I would jack up the car with someone in it, so they could turn the wheel to pin point the exact location of the noise. That's my best advice.
