How do I get it to downshift to 1st gear??
I have a '94 E320 that is a really great car. The only thing that really annoys me is that it refuses to downshift as far or as fast as I would like. It will not go down to 1st gear at slow speeds or sometimes down to 2nd from 4th when passing. Is there anything that can be done to the electronics to change shift points. I'd love for it to immediately find the lowest gear possible whenever the pedal is mashed against the floorboard.

You might want to post your question in the W124 section if your Benz is a 94. You might get the answers you are looking for in there. The w210 has a different transmission.
