W211 headlight assembly
I purchased and installed a set of VIPMOTOZ HID headlights in my 2005 E320 CDI in 2018. They are very cheaply made. Installation and proper adjustment is nearly impossible because of the poor fit of the parts. Also I have had both HID ballasts fail, and VIPMOTOZ no longer carries the part or offers an alternative. It seems their "Lifetime Warranty" ends when the life of the original part ends. I am currently looking for a higher quality replacement and I haven't settled on one yet.
To answer your original question, the wiring for the HID ballast is included in their kit and is pretty simple.
Regards, Maurice.
to get the best of the stock setup use Osram CBB bulbs. If you really want to step it up then open the headlight and replaces the projector lens with a ZKW-R lens.

What's the deal with all these CBx bulbs? I guess they are still 35W? Higher color temp isn't necessarily desirable...curious how they are better.

they are not blue really at all
I would suggest buying from theretrofitsource.com

- They are still 35W so they work fine with the stock ballast
- Somehow they are considerably brighter. At least one reviewer said the output and color is akin to a modern LED headlamp which would be incredible.
- They probably don't last as long as stock. But it may still be in the 3-4 year range which is totally fine. Plus I think ours are shockingly easy to change without removing the front bumper and other BS I am accustomed to.
- The 7000K is not really true....reportedly they are more like 5000 or maybe 5500 which is exactly what I wanted to hear. Didn't want 7000K
- They aren't technically legal for on-road use in the US....that means they must be good, lol
FWIW I do believe the Amazon link I sent was for genuine bulbs but point certainly taken on counterfeits.
