Cls 55 amg replaced brake pads now abs stem failure and esp failure

Hey guys. Its been a long time since i posted questions. I may be on the wrong feed so excuse me if I am. You guys were great in helping me changing out supercharger pulley bearings and other things before.

I had a driend help me change front break pads and we and the rotors turned. He hooked a scanner up to it also before we tested it so I dont know what the car would have a ted like before it was scanned. I dont think scanning would cause problems bht I am chrious. I have some of the codes that came up andI will add them. When I drove the car it says abs system failure esp failure and the power steering will work for a minuete and then when I start driving it goes out also. Has anyone had this same issue?

Go back under there and make sure the speed sensors are connected the right way.

I got that same code when I did the below:

When I did the brakes on my E63 I had an issue where I tightened the speed sensors on top of the plastic retaining clips, which made the sensor not sit flush inside the hole.

Secondly I would double check the wiring.

Go down there and give it a look, snap some pics as well.

Hopefully it's the same problem I had.

Good luck

This place is a joke.
There's no reason to touch the speed sensor when replacing pads/rotors. If you did, then you're doing something wrong, hence why you have these problems.

You are right! I did the brakes as well as suspension components, which required the removal of the speed sensors. Thanks for setting me straight

Worth checking your wiring regardless as the speed sensor is coming up in your scan tool.
