Cure for the understeer woes...
Just installed my 18 x 9 stock rear wheels with 265/35 R compound tires in the front and did some high speed runs to 150 with some 60-70 mph turns. The turn in is far more stable with markedly less understeer. The tires fit without rubbing and look fine. The Porterfield full-race brake pads stop the car well and should tolerate the heat better, but are very noisy and generate as much if not more dust than the stock pads.
It will be interesting noting the differences in handling with these wheels and tires up front. In the rear I have the stock rear rims with 275/35 racing slicks.
If anyone really wants to improve the traction and handling, 9 inch rims with sticky tires in front makes a significant difference.

Oh, I'm using this combo on the track only. I put them on today to heat cycle the tires before my track day in 2 weeks. I put back the 19's this afternoon.
