Adjustable links vs ProGrama

Apologies if this has been covered before (n00b here) but I'm hoping to lower my E55 wagon just a bit, with the goal being ~1-1.5" lower while driving, then using the factory Airmatic lift button to raise to the normal OEM driving height if need be. Will both these methods retain that functionality?

yes but with links you'll always be the amount lower than factory always per link since it is faking out the sensors.

the airmatic system at a lowered state past 1 inch really handles like trash, so i personally enjoy having the electronic adjustability versus using links. sometimes i have it on, sometimes i have it off in regards to lowering of 1.5 inches.

Isn't this effectively the same as the factory raise button? Obviously ProGrama has adjustability by tenths, not just a high/low setting, but otherwise yes?

its an electronic lowering controller. it does the same thing as the links do by tricking the computer but its adjustable. this does not remove the factory suspension settings function which also raises and lowers at a button press.

I have the LOMO M1 lowering module. It is EXCELLENT. I too would suggest using a lowering module vs lowering links.

The Programa is adjustable by tenths but honestly, you set the height once and you'll only be turning the module on or off to activate the lowering. So with that route, you can either hit the factory raise button or turn off the module to raise the car. You're "supposed to" cycle the suspension after making adjustments to the programa, which means pressing more buttons, so its easier to just hit the factory button for the almost-immediate lift.

Try it out with washers and blue loctite? A couple average sized ones should you drop you a little under an inch and raised mode should take you back to regular height. That’ll basically be the adjustable link experience.
