For those of you that have a car that sounds like a jungle gym or swing set going over bumps. It is most likely your inner ball joint on the back side of the axle hub/knuckle. this is a very difficult joint to diagnose since the only proper way to inspect is removal. my driver's side had no play but upon removal was pretty much frozen. the passenger side had a small amount of play. the frozen side is the jungle gym side. while I'm in there I'm updating all bushings, upper control arms, and wheel bearings. I expect to have a wonderfully quiet car that drives as if it's on a cloud.
I just replace mine last weekend. Was on the fence about doing it by myself but glad I went through with it. Saved a bunch of $$$ and car rides squeak free.
