Photo Request: Crankshaft Position Sensor

I think I have a general idea of where this is located, I may have seen it once I removed my Intake Manifold a few months ago but I can't find any information online for our specific engine. And, yes, I have searched here and could only find limited information. I'm fairly sure it goes into the transmission bell housing. I'm coding P0336, but it's also coding P061B Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance, but I figured it's related to the prevalent P0336 code.

Any help would be helpful and appreciated from any of you who have taken pics while working on yours.

Thanks, in advance!

Per WIS AR15.12-P-2133TMG driver's side transmission bell housing, accessed from above. This is the typical Mercedes crankshaft position sensor location.

Incredible

I always thought I was a wiz when it comes to searching threads here, now I'm embarrassed
Plus, I definitely remember seeing it when I did the IM remove/replace.

Thanks, again, chassis-

Pain in the *** to get to it without a lift. I had to take mine to a shop to get it replaced.

PITA indeed...

Took me about :45 to get it out and the new one in. My hands aren't that small, or very big, but it was a very tight environment. I don't think I could've done it without the 1/4" drive, extension and e8 socket. Kinda had to put my hand into place, and then slip the ratchet into my hand.

I decided to only disconnect what I needed to

I couldn’t even reach the sensor from the top to disconnect the wire. Good job. Luckily the shop only charged $130 or so for labor.

I just removed the cps from my blown engined E55 and installed it in my no start SL55. It seems ok now. Thank goodness for threads like these. Cheers to all.
