Have been following with interest the thread about the crook from down under. That whole kit was probably BS, but definitely got me thinking. It seems that the Evo kit might be the best bang for the buck. Kit I and II close to 100 HP for around 7K. Unless i'm wrong, it would seem that you would have to spend a lot more with Kleemann, brabus, etc. My big question is how the evo kit affects my warranty, and if my dealer would install.

That's not what I wanted to hear LOL. Isn't there a law (forget the name) that protects you in this event. i.e. maybe it would void my powertrain warranty, but should have no effect on electrical, or other stuff? I guess the other question is the long - term effect on the car with this kind of stuff.

It takes more than your typical car stereo installer, that's for sure. when I was researching this I found 3 places that do this install. 2 in NY and one in NJ. If your handy, you can install the lidatek yourelf. If you go to the M5 board there are some lengthy threads for a group buy they had for the new LE-30. Maybe someone knows a good shop who can alos do the V1 in your area. I found 2 out of the 3 shops on the M5 board.

you're referring to the magnusson-moss act, lots of the act has to be taken with a grain of salt. I suggest reading it before making any assumptions.
