Hey guys,
My air condition stopped working recently...the system has freon and pressure.
I scanned for codes using an Autel 906 Diagnosis device and do not see any codes at all.
Active tests of switching on compressor don't seem to do anything. Is the compressor faulty? If so wouldn't I expect a code? I'm assuming the below picture shows that the AC Compressor is out of range? If the connector was disconnected would I see an error code or would it look exactly as shown below?
2550 mA and it's in red. Pretty sure that is where the problem is located.
Try disconnecting the compressor and see what you get...I would expect 0 mA and an error message.
Recall the compressor is a "swash plate" compressor; not the old style on/off clutched variety.
I don't know what is item 145 but note that is is zero; if it is supposed to be duty cycle or swash plate angle this implies no duty cycle.
Item 146 shows zero torque; implies the swash plate is at zero (i.e. no pumping).
I'm not an AC guy nor do I pretend to be one on the Internet...
yeah...when i trigger the compressor on the duty cycle of 145 goes to 70%...but nothing changes.
i tried looking at the wiring to see if i caused a break when i was working on stuff around there but due to space constraints, wasn't able to see much.
i'll have my mechanic look and possibly unplug and replug the connector.
problem solved. the tech that worked on my vehicle pinched the harness which caused a break. the odd mV reading is actually a ground out issue which didn't throw a code.

@hachiroku How did the pinched harness get resolved?
