E55 Spare Tire
Hi All,
Unfortunately, I had the occasion to use my spare tire a couple of week ago. While, I'm glad it got me where I needed to go, it looks like it may be original from 2006! Needless to say, it's in rough shape. I'm looking to replace the 175/55-18 but regular outlets don't supply the tire. I've seen some used ones on eBay for several hundred. Does anyone know if there are common alternative sizes that might work and still fit in the spare wheel well? *I'm not too smart about tire sizes. Thanks!

Give the guys at tire rack a call, maybe they can assist you. Fortunately, I've never used my spare tire, it's probably just as bad as yours.

tough to come by - just had similar concern and mine is the 2004 original. Some guys buy a front OEM wheel with stock sized tire and it will fit in that area with luggage cover still fitting over it fine. I was looking into that but havent found a single wheel yet.

MT on spares for skinnies. Not your usually measurements but I can post numbers later for you to search other lower price brand. I do have two stock tires that look ok if you ocd on stock.
